I have never seen creosote so brown, the Rio Grande flow so low, and the spring skies so clear. Monsoon season in Southern New Mexico came as a blessing this year. With record fires, drought and heat; the rain provided a cool diversion from the otherwise parched surroundings. High Altitude Racing Loop Trail – Lincoln National Forest

Afternoon ride in the Sacramento Mountains (elevation 8,925ft). Started the ride with partly cloudy skies; finished the ride in pouring rain and 60-degree temps.
