Whitewater-Baldy Complex Fire - Updated 1400 MDT May 30, 2012

The Whitewater-Baldy Complex Fire is now the largest wildfire in New Mexico state history; the fire surpassed 170,000 acres early this morning. Over 1,100 wildland firefighters are now battling the blaze.

 Ghost Divide & Mogollon Rim: Overland to the EXPO- This week New Mexico Backroads will be leading a three day, 475-mile, adventure through the backcountry of New Mexico and Arizona en-root to the Overland Expo. Scenery along the route will include desert, grasslands and forest. Stay tuned for the adventure and coverage of the 2012 Overland Expo. Hope to see you there!

CRAWL Magazine Reader's Ride - Area BFE is a 320-acre recreation park and land cooperative located south of Moab, UT. While the park is renowned for having some of the toughest rock crawling trails in Utah, Area BFE also provides hikers, mountain bikers and ATV riders a place to explore canyons, sheer mountainsides and slickrock.
   
CRAWL Magazine hosts a Readers Ride at Area BFE during Easter Jeep Safari Week for rock crawling enthusiasts to test their equipment and skill against obstacle rich trails and harsh terrain.
