Colorado Exploration - Pearl Pass

Pearl Pass serves as the backroad route between Crested Butte and Aspen; traversing the Gunnison and White River National Forests through 40 miles of lush aspen groves, wide open valleys and alpine tundra. The trail is especially rough this year—slow going with lots of rocks. There is often snow on the trail well into late July; some years the snow does not melt sufficiently to allow for vehicle passage. A stock height 4WD will definitely be making underbody/rock contact along many points of the route
